6.9 7.2 Earthquake in Baja California

Felt it here in L.A. as a slow shaking. (I was busy playing Wii and didn’t realize there was a quake until Yoshi told me twice that the building was shaking. And it wasn’t until I stopped playing and stood up that I realized that we were STILL swaying.)

  1. Felt it in Pedro, but I thought I was having a dizzy spell or something. I didn’t know there was an earthquake until my roommate came out to the backyard and told me about it.

  2. Mild, but ridiculously long — a bit nauseating.

Agreed with matt: “it was so long i figured that it was going to get bigger”.

  3. Downtown san diego! Never felt anything like that before! Water shaking out the pool And my heart was goin a million miles an hour! Scary!

  4. My mother lives in Tijuana I did try to communicate with her but phone is not working . How things are there?

  5. We felt it on our way back to az. 40 miles before the az border. Never felt an earthquake before, very scary. Were at a rest stop rocking back and forth for a good 3-4min.

  6. I was watching TV and eating an apple pie when it started shaking. I thought it was pretty small and slow compared to the 4.4 on 4:04 a.m. That earthquake in the middle of the night scared the hell outta me. I felt that the 4.4 was bigger but maybe it was because I was partially asleep. The 7.2 yesterday didn’t really scare me. It was slow and smooth :P

  7. I was in the trolley downtown SD when the cars started waving back and forth. we stopped on the tracks still waving and Windows were rattling in the Buildings around us. Lasted 30 sec too long… God bless haiti
