OMG holy balls! Seriously. Did you all see this? Google just updated the traffic reporting on it’s maps and now includes all major streets in LA not only the freeways. This is nothing short of revolutionary!

awesome, now if I could access when in SM Th I could know which is the best way to move quickly to the SGV when my appt is over.
Nothing short of revolutionary is an understatement.
Sadly, it doesn’t seem to be on Google Maps Mobile (at least not on my Sprint Treo).
Holy fuck! And Seth too says, “Holy fuck!” But yeah, mobile is essential! You’re in a CAR, for chrissakes!
I was excited to see this. But when I looked at Google Maps, I only see about 3 streets in the entire city that there is traffic info for. Am I missing something?
Yeah, because that’s a screenshot above and you can see there is WAY more than only 3 streets being reported on..
Hmmmm. I see the screenshot. And yet my Google Maps doesn’t look anything like it. I wonder why.
Hm, my computer doesn’t show it either. just like, one street. Booo!
Don’t know if you covered it – but they also fixed search results to show more than 10 results. They show up as little green zits…
If you’re not seeing the streets of LA — I was just told by someone at Google that the street traffic feature is still experimental, and it’s now back in the hands of the developers to work out some kinks.
And, just as a sidenote, does no one else use LADOT’s map? Or, for that matter, how about Sig Alert?
Only street I see with traffic is Santa Monica Blvd.
It was just a test. For now.
