Creative Commons Salon Tonight!

Hey folks, this just in from the LA CC folks, if you don’t already have plans and will be around Silver Lake I’m sure this will be fun to check out:

Creative Commons – a nonprofit that works to increase the amount of creativity available for free and legal use, sharing, and remixing – will be hosting the latest in their Salon series on Nov. 11th at FOUND Gallery in Silverlake. Focusing on groups and individuals who use CC licenses, the event will feature presentations and Q&As from web radio collective Dublab and net-label theorist Lucas Gonze. Both will discuss how CC, and ‘openness’ in general, is affecting web radio and net labels, both from an economic and artistic vantage, with a Q&A to follow each. Additionally, Dublab will be asking salon attendees to create noise – both as a group and as individuals – which will be recorded and turned into audio loops to be be used for the Into Infinity project, a new art exhibition produced in collaboration with Creative Commons.
