It opened as the Los Angeles Theater. It went on to become the second Orpheum. It was built over one of the original springs for which Spring Street was named.
It would be demolished to make way for… a parking lot.
It was the Lyceum Theatre. The year was 1941.

I always look forward to your posts. Sometimes is the details in the pictures that make my head spin. Two here today “Talking” marquee and the Golden Glow ad on the side promoting “starchless” ales.
Wow, what a building. “Meet Dr. Christian” and “Down the Wyoming Trail” are on the marquee.
