Free Comics! Come and get ’em!

(UPDATE: These have been claimed) Earlier this morning I went shooting with my friend Michael Pusateri who informed me he had a shitload of comics he wanted to give away to someone who would be into them. And by shitload I mean crapload. I told him to send me a photo or two and I’d post ’em here and someone would surely snatch them up quick. Here’s what he says:

extracomics-2.jpg“I’m a long time comic reader, not really a collector. I’ve the guy that says ‘No’ to bags and boards. I’ve been reading comics since ~1976, so I only keep a few particular books. Years ago, I gave away a ton to the Children’s Hospital. Today’s comics are a bit much for younger children.

I’ve built up quite a pile of comics over the last five years that need to go somewhere. I’ve got 4 paper bags worth of comics to give away.

The comics are mainly DC with a touch of Marvel & indie (cause that’s how I roll). Books include Superman, JLA, JSA, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Shadowpact, Civil War, Spawn, Wolverine, a bunch of Infinite Crisis and 52 stuff, Countdown stuff, 52 stuff, and a bunch of random stuff I picked up.

I could try to sell it on Ebay in batches, but I’m far too lazy for that. I just want it out of the house to make the wife happy.

I’m in LA (South Pasadena to be exact) and looking for someone to take them all away. Read ’em, sell ’em, I don’t care. I just can’t throw them in the trash.

Let me know if you are interested. You can pick them at my house or I can take them to work (Burbank) and you can pick them up there.”

Another photo is posted after the jump, post a comment ifn’ yer interested!

  1. I take them, but my wife is already nagging me to get rid of my 24 Long boxes. I gave 11 boxes to a charity for the troops in Iraq. It was called Operation Victory or something. I like the thought of somebody stuck over there opening a box and getting a handful of funny books to past the time.

That being said, I can’t wait for the floppies to go away and a future where I can read all my monthlies online and then order the trades of the ones I really like.

  2. I haven’t been able to afford to buy comics for the last six or seven years and this would be a dream come true. I will absolutely 100% come take all of them and am happy to pick them up from either South Pas or Burbank. If they’re still up for grabs, tell him to drop me a line.

  3. If these are still available, I’d love to pick ’em up. I live in south Pasadena and could get them tonight (Monday). He can contact me at [email protected] if there still around. Thanks!
