Children’s Art Walk in Monrovia Saturday 5/24/08

kidsartwalk.jpg  Children’s Art will be the theme for the first of several Art Walks planned this summer in Monrovia.  The event will run 3:30PM to 6:30PM on the 100 block of East Lemon in Old Town Monrovia (Between Myrtle and Ivy Avenues).

Several of the area schools will be displaying student art completed during the course of the last year.  There will also be art activities for the kids to do while at the fair.  There will also be parenting and art resources available.

The first of the Murals of the Masters will also have its formal unveiling and ribbon cutting at the start of the event.  (I had a peek at the progress of adding details and it is looking pretty terrific).

The Children’s Art Walk is sponsored by the Monrovia Association of Fine Arts and the Monrovia Old Town Merchants.

Directions:  210 Freeway, exit Myrtle Avenue, turn north.  Drive approx 10 blocks into the heart of Old Town Monrovia.  There are several free parking lots in Old Town that are short walks (a block or less) to Lemon Avenue.
