Archiving Angeles (AA): The Graf Zeppelin

She was the finest airship ever built. She would circle the globe in 12 days, with a trip from Friedrichshaften, Germany, to Lakehurst, New Jersey. She would make a stop at Mines Field, now known as LAX.

She was the Graf Zeppelin. She arrived in Los Angeles 8 years before the Hindenburg disaster.

The year was 1929.

  1. The Militant sure dug Graf Zeppelin. Especially the guitar work of Jimmy Blage, the drumming of John Lonham, the bass playing of John Paul James and the vocal stylings of Robert Slant.
