Wind is howling in outer Monrovia

The wind has been steadily increasing since dusk. It is rare I get any wind here in my corner of outer monrovia. Tonight it is different. The last time it was like this we lost power for 2 days. The national weather service has issued a severe wind warning until tomorrow afternoon. The full details after the jump.

  1. Try being in a plane with that wind blowing. Flying into Burbank tonight was the craziest thing I’d ever seen. As it is, you fly into the airport really fast. Add wobbling while really close to the landing strip and you’ve got a crazy landing. Said the flight attendant when we landed, “I’ll be happy to help you as you depart, just let me change my pants.”

  2. Yea, it was scary windy in Burbank last night. But a couple co-workers in Whittier said it was no big thing out their way.
