Indulge Cafe Burger

If you’re a burger-and-fries fan, then I’m about to drop upon you the two best words you’re likely hear for a long, long time: Indulge Cafe. Astute readers will recognize the name from earlier reportage by our own intrepid Will Campbell, but sadly our original plan to raid their burger inventory was short circuited by Mother Nature’s watery wrath. Not so last night. Though fate did make one attempt to thwart our mission by placing biking superhero and IAAL stalwart Mr. Rollers directly in the path of an apparently blind or otherwise incapacitated automobile driver, damage was minimal and our small contingent of IAAL*MAF plus a guest successfully pedaled our way west to hamburger nirvana.

Indulge’s menu, like its dining room, is tiny. But when everything you make is arguably perfect there’s really no good reason to stray. Along with traditional burgers of the bovine variety, Indulge also offers turkey and veggie variations and huge, thick cut fries that Will has gone so far as to call “The Best French Fries I’ve Ever Had.” If you’re a dessert fan, try finishing things off with a rich, fudgy espresso chocolate brownie, served with a warmth and friendliness that’s sorely missed in most establishments. I’m sure other people will chime in to disagree, but for this burger eater Indulge is the kind of spot that makes me think about moving just to be closer.

  1. Militant, There are two burger options, the small burger and the standard. I can’t recall the prices for the stand-alone burgers, but I believe my standard combo with cheese, fries and a drink was like $7 or $8.
