You’ve Shopped, Now Ship

Did you get all your Christmas/Kwanzaa/Festivus shopping done over the weekend? Okay, still plenty of time. Chances are, you will need to ship some things to friends and family across the country. Or you might need a box to wrap an awkward sized gift. This is why Box City is your friend. They have 8 locations throughout the greater LA area and over 2000 different kinds of boxes in all shapes and sizes, from large moving cartons to jewelry boxes. They also have bubble wrap, tape and other packaging to protect that special something.

And as for shipping, most US post offices have longer holiday hours for your convenience. If your post office has it, I highly recommend using the Automatic Postal Center for self service postage. The APC is full self-service, so you can weigh and buy postage for packages and letters as well as buy stamps, insurance, delivery confirmation or whatever you might need. At my PO there is usually a long line for counter service while the APC seems to always be available. And don’t forget about the LAX Post Office which is open every day from 7am to 11pm:
9029 Airport Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90009
(310) 649-7400

Good luck!

  1. I was just about to recommend/remind about the APC, but I just discovered it has a $50 limit per transaction, so you may have to break it into a few transactions if you have a lot of packages.
