LAist contributor and co-editor Zach Behrens has been hired to replace Tony Pierce as the editor of LAist. He begins on the 17th.
Since joining the site at the end of 2005, Zach has concentrated largely on local issues, making him, in my opinion, one of Los Angeles’ best community journalists.
Congrats to Zach – looking forward to see where you take LAist next!
I think Zach’s a great choice.
Agreed.
Zach is awesome.
Agreed.
Err, I meant I agreed Zach is a great choice, I have no idea if he’s awesome. :)
Three cheers for Zach!
Excellent move for LAist! Looks like I’ll finally be registering over there.
BTW, Zach has awesome last name.
Great news! Zach is a great writer and editor, with the right amount of maturity to make LAist even better than it already was. A welcome change of guard.
Now if we could only find the LA City Nerd
Good, Tony Pierce was horrible. I can start reading LAist again now.
Wholeheartedly agree with Rex.
Pierce was a diejob away from being Perez Hilton.
Congrats to Zach. I may actually have a reason to start reading LAist again as well.
