More about Ladies Who Launch after the jump.

Ladies Who Launch is a nationwide networking group for women. You begin in a four week intensive “incubator” for whatever idea you have for a business or any aspect of your life. It doesn’t matter if you have only a wisp of an idea or you’ve been in business for ten years, the incubator will get you moving forward. Each incubator is no bigger than ten women and you give and receive encouragement and support with other smart, forward-thinking entrepreneurial women. From there you can join the Ongoing group and participate in monthly meetings where speakers from all walks of life come and talk to you about their particular area of expertise. Earlier this year Mariel Hemingway spoke about healthy living and eating and signed copies of her book “Healthy LIving From The Inside Out.” At another meeting there were four speakers who represented various aspects of the venture capital world. They discussed what the VC arena is like and how and when to approach VC groups with your business.

I joined in January of this year to launch my writing and photography career. I was inspired and motivated to fly forward. Since then I have written a short memoir with photos, I was asked to write for this very website (blogging.la) and through the ongoing group, I have made contact with publishers and literary agents. The women in the group are so supportive and giving and full of ideas to help you get where you need to be.

If you are a woman with some big ideas (aren’t we all?) I highly recommend joining an incubator to get your idea off the ground–what a great New Year’s Resolution to keep! Check their list of Incubators and sign up. If for some reason you are not ready for that, pick up their book. Make 2008 about your very own launch!
