N-N-NoHo that don’t kill me
Can only make me stronger
I need L.A. to hurry up now
Cause I can’t wait much longer
Fast forward to Saturday. You’ve been auditioning/working/whatever all week long. You want to kick back with a pitcher of Crunk Juice at Big Wangs and watch your alma mater deliver the football beatdown.
Too bad it’s festival season.
One such gathering is NoHo Scene, in North Hollywood. Local theaters are getting back to the roots of the former NoHo Theatre and Arts Festival. The inaugural NoHo Scene features free acting workshops, including “Total Improv for Kids,” “Shakespeare Spoken Here,” and “Meisner Repetition Exercises.”
NoHo Scene also boasts 40 free performances in 17 local theatres, as well as dance contest finals hosted by choreographer Shane Sparks from So You Think You Can Dance and plenty of entertainment on the Main Stage.
Football or Career. Career or Football. Damn you, inner voices.
