Elysian Valley Art Ride

When I biked the L.A. River Ride last June from Griffith Park to Long Beach we ventured south of Atwater Village on through Elysian Valley and having seen a lot of cool artsy muralsy things along that stretch south of Fletcher I’ve since then wanted to go back with my camera and my bike and be able to stop when I wanted and snap what I wanted, which is just what my wife and I did this morning along a five-mile route that brought us back up the west bank of the L.A. River where on a side note I was stopped by a fine fellow named Josh Young who while riding past us with a couple of his buds doubled back and said hey because he recognized me as that guy “who writes for that blog.” Blogging.la? I asked. “Yeah,” he said. I was honored.

Anyway, here’s a slightly embiggenable collage of thumbnails from the excursion. Visit my Flickr set here or Susan’s set here, or better yet get on your bike and take the tour yourself.
