Still can’t get into the Kwik-E-Mart

Man is the Burbank Kwik-E-Mart ever slammed!

We tried to get in there (yes, I’ve seen so many photos I too feel like I was there already) just to get a Squishy, figuring the crowds would be long gone by now.

Not so!

In fact I’ve asked a couple of Burbankers (one lucky enough to be walking distance) and they agree that the lines are solidly out the door and around the block, pretty much round the clock.

Comic Book Guy would pronounce this, “most successful publicity stunt EVER!”

  1. I’m not sure how 5000! and friends fared biking over to the Burbank Kwik-E-mart on Wednesday but the week prior I did the same thing and there was a line around the end and down but the wait for my buddy Stephen and me was only about 15-20 minutes. Of course that was then and this is now.

P.S. Those pink movie donuts are evilly delicious.

P.S.S. It’s not the same effect, but most every 7-1i is selling the Simpsons merchandise.

  2. We only had to wait a few minutes, but I think we got lucky. Another friend of mine went over there later on Wednesday night and said there was a 45 min wait! Not sure it’s worth that, especially considering that they’re sold out of most of the Simpsons goodies.

  3. I went last Friday early in the afternoon. The line wasn’t around the block yet (only a dozen in front of us), but we still had to wait about 15 minutes before we got to go in. I haven’t tried to go to the 7-11 on Venice and Sepulveda, but I drove by last night around 11 and the parking lot was crowded.

  4. go early in the morning, there was no line at the burbank one when I went a couple weeks ago

  5. I ended up going to the Burbank one yesterday afternoon. Ten minute wait. No Krusty-Os, but plenty of Buzz Cola, pink movie donuts and bobbleheads and talking Pez dispensers ($24.99), and wall clocks($?) and even sleeping bags ($19.99).

  6. I went there today (Sunday) at around 12:30pm. There was a small line and a 5-minute wait to get in. Once we got out, the line started to get long.
