I was just driving around in Hollywood and I was stopped by police cars (at least 5 units that I saw), flares, and yellow caution tape blocking off Gower between Sunset and Selma.
Basically, there’s nothing on that block except for Roscoe’s… so what gives?
Anyone know? I hope it was just some sort of Chicken & Waffle emergency, and nothing more serious…
UPDATE: Leave it to Brian Humphrey of the LAFD to provide a quick answer to my question. (I had my suspicions it was a shooting, but I didn’t want to say anything without having any confirmation.) Thanks, Brian.
Oh, man. Now I’m having a chicken and waffle emergency.
Joz,
There was regretfully a shooting in the area to which both the LAPD and your Fire Department responded. At this time, there is an active Police investigation… and all further details must come from law enforcement officials.

Annika, there’s a Roscoe’s on Pico between La Brea and Fairfax, so there’s never a reason for a chicken and waffle emergency.
