A Visit To Remember

Memorial Day 2005: The dogtags around his neck. The camos spread out behind him across the grass. The guitar beside the headstone. The big drink in his hands. All these things say this veteran came for an extended stay to pay respects to an old friend; to remember. As we all should.

Los Angeles National Cemetery
has 85,160 veterans interred across its 114 acres in Westwood. It is open today, tomorrow and Memorial Day from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
