A Foolish Fight

Just a quick reminder, the first LA Pillowfight is happening this Sunday at the Grove. Please review the rules:

  1. You do tell everyone about PillowFight Club.
  2. You do tell everyone about PillowFight Club.
  3. If someone whines or has no pillow, you cannot hit them.
  4. Everyone joins in the fight.
  5. The one fight starts at the designated time – No earlier.
  6. No tar, no heavy things in pillows.
  7. PillowFights will go on until they’re done.
  8. If this is your first night at PillowFight Club, you have to get feathered.

I might also add, don’t pillow anyone holding a lens (like a camera). I’ll also mention there is a really nice park across the street if mass exodus is in order. It’s a good thing it’s not happening at the La Brea Tar Pits, otherwise it would be a tar and pillow fight. Hey, that gives me an idea….

  1. If not for all the dire warnings about not endangering my eyes so soon after getting LASIK, I would gladly join in. Hope everyone has a great time and no one brings any memory foam pillows.

  2. And speaking from experience, The Grove’s private security just luvs it when non-sanctioned activities other than shopping happens at their mall. I suggest hiding your pillow until you see the whites of their eyes, and then make that quick exit to pan pacific park.

  3. ditto on that. Grove security is creepy and can only be overcome by some serious cohesion on the part of the mob. Pillowfighters should prepare to stay together, not allow themselves to be separated, and focus on their fights.

    this is, after all, war.

  4. Midnight Ridazz (400+ strong) rode through the Grove earlier this month, so the security guards that didn’t die of heart attacks on the spot will probably be even more vigilant. Beware . . .

  5. LAPD has been informed of this scheduled pillow fight, as well as the security of the grove. This fight should not happen @ this location. Move it across the street to Pan Pacific Park

  6. Heard this was cancelled… Sure those Grove guards heard bout it and kiboshed the fun… They don’t even let you take photos of that place….

  7. saw the sf event first hand. LAME. save yourselves from the wrath of the grove security guards, and the $100 parking by going to pinkberry instead.

  8. A very heavy-handed police, rent-a-cop and Grove security force kept this from happening.

I didn’t see it but was told a pajama-clad man was handcuffed and led away.
