Kozyndan Tonight at sixspace

It’s almost 5PM on Saturday and most people have their evenings well planned out. For those that don’t, all of your prayers, burning candles, sacrificing virgins and chopping off pieces of your fingers has worked and you now have something to do – LA art duo kozyndan’s Nirai Kanai exhibition is opening tonight at sixspace in Culver City (5803 Washington Blvd). This show is centered around “ama, diving woman of Japan, as a vehicle to deal with the disconnected climate of our contemporary culture.” But that’s not all, also at sixspace is the Books and Records Show by Sarah Cromarty featuring new sculptural pieces made from carved books and record covers. Both open tonight with a reception from 6-9pm.

  1. Great show…the artwork was a tranquil escape from the hubbub of city life, and we only wished we could buy the whole series!
