Expect more high weirdness

I just saw these in my garden this afternoon –

Crazy temps force earliest daffodils ever –

What else is in store I wonder???

  1. Hmm…my calender shows that my daffodils always bloom around this time of year. In 2005, the first blooms were spotted on Jan 16. This year, though, I haven’t seen any yet.

The first blooms are usually related to the frequency and amount of the first rains of the season, too.

  2. Paperwhites were up in December, the Daffodils are just sprouting. Lucky you get the first sign of spring. I’m just tired of whacking the ice out of the birdbath and putting in new water for the birds every morning.
