Malingering posts photos to a flickr account, documenting the absurd in Los Angeles. Many of the pictures feature boob jobs and bad fashion choices, but there is much, much more.

  1. I saw this a while back and personally found a lot of it to just be mean-spirited. Especially the “She-Man, the real american hero” stuff. I’m not accusing anybody here of this, but it amazes me how so many people that spent their high school years being made miserable for being “different” can get on teh intranet and do the exact same thing to other people. Judge not, lest ye be judged and all that.

  2. I find it all very distasteful as well. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m afraid that my “differences” or “bad judgement” will someday land me on those pages or I just don’t like to see anyone singled out for ridicule.

I’ve seen some of the pictures, which are poignant commentary on their own, but too many of them and the shallow, hurtful comments just make me sad.

    distasteful? sheeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiittttt.

  4. Hmmm. I hadn’t seen it as mean-spirited but I do see what you’re saying, Cybele and Spencer. My take on it was that, while I do not subscribe to the theory that it’s not mean if it’s true, Uggs in LA are truly ridiculous, and no one should show their underpants.

  5. I was in Seattle recently they had a Starbucks RIGHT NEXT to a Starbucks. I’m not kidding! I was confused and helpless as to which one I needed to go to. I thought LA was bad. They need to out law uggs or at least start a “LA Ugg” flickr page.
