My dogs are generally well behaved. Sean may argue that Quint is a walking maniac, which he most certainly is, but overall they are mentally and physically healthy pooches. Heck, Lebowski even twirls and gives hi-fives on command. I owe this to three things: our patience, my dogs willingness to learn, and Marsha at Devil Dog Ranch. Though there are some things I’d love to change like Lebowski’s unbelievable squealing when he sees new dogs and the fact that minpins aren’t great off-leash, I’m pretty darn lucky. I mean, just look at all those nutty
dogs owners on the fantastic show the Dog Whisperer!
But if Cesar Milan is hard to book and your pooch could use a little helpful nudge in the positive manners area, Glendale Human Society has the thing that might work for you – a Tellington TTouch Method training class by Cordial Canines:
Using a combination of specific touches, lifts, and movement exercises, TTouch helps to release tension and increase body awareness. By using the TTouch and a variety of other tools, you can assist the animal in experiencing self-confidence in previously frightening situations. Even the most difficult problems are often eliminated. You can also apply the Tellington TTouch to assist with recovery from illness or injury, and enhance your animal’s quality of life.
This class will introduce you to TTouch and you’ll learn how it can assist in the correction of unwanted or troublesome behavior problems, help your aging or injured animal feel more comfortable and speed healing, and reduce stress – for both you and your animal!
Wednesday, August 30 from 6:30-8pm
@ Glendale Humane Society
*Class fee is $55 (about $25 off) and a portion will be donated to GHS
