Look ma, a tourist…

Yes, its me, the guy taking all the pictures while walking down Hollywood blvd. Wow, now that is a scene. i love the stars- even found Chuck Norris. We walked awile, trying to get the 13 hr drive out of our muscles. After awhile, we ended up at Musso and Frank Grill for some old school gin martinis. What i love about thier martini’s is you get the martini and a little friend to tag along.

Ok- some requests from you natives- what should we do on saturday? We’re on Sunset and Poinsetta- where should we go for breakfast? Thanks.

  1. Breakfast suggestions:

    – Farmer’s Market at the Grove (on Fairfax and 3rd)lots of stands inside, I like Bob’s Dounuts or there is a crepe place who’s name I can’t remember.

    – Luna Park ( On Le Brea and Wilshire) its a little pricer and open a little later but their brunch selection is yummy

    – Urth Caffe (on Melrose past La Ciienega) has awesome everything. Try the bread pudding with apples and steamed milk. Coffee is awesome!

    – Groudworks (on Cahuenga and Sunset) for a quickie breakfast stop in for coffee and an egg sandwich. Its nothing fancy but is tastey.

    – Susina (Le Brea and Beverly) – they have tasey pasteries and decent coffee

    – Solar de Cahuenga ( Cahuenga and Franklin) they spealize in crepes but they have other things too.

    – 101 Coffee Shop (Franklin and Gower – sorta) retro inside, good food, basic diner fare with a flare.

    – Canter’s (Fairfax near Beverly sorta) old fashion deli style food. Huge portions!

    Any of that grab you?

  2. If Koga’s post is any indication STAY AWAY FROM THE GROVE/FARMERS MARKET THIS WEEKEND (but you should be okay on a weekday).

Can I recommend you toodle down Sunset to Silverlake and enjoy Eat Well, Millie’s or Cafe Matisse around Sunset Junction (Sunset just past Santa Monica). There’s also a petite Farmers Market on Saturday mornings.

  3. How was the BJM show? I’m thinking of going tonight after the Brewery Artwalk and the LACMA Muse/Gallery Row Org artwalk.

So much good art & music, so little time.
