Brewery Artwalk this weekend

wilartwalk.jpgAs your friendly Brewery resident, I feel compelled to inform you about the fantastic (and free) opportunity to see some art this weekend. The residents of the Brewery Arts Complex near downtown open their studio doors twice a year for the Brewery Artwalk, and it’s always a good time. This time around, there are over 110 studios open, with resident artists such as Miripolsky, Llyn Foulkes, Psycho Girlfriend, Bruce Gray, Kevin Flint, Found: Photo Gallery (a personal favorite) and, of course, myself, opening their studios to the public. Admission and parking are free.

How awesome is it? I only open one of the two Artwalks a year because I like to spend both days walking around checking out my neighbors’ art.

When: Saturday and Sunday, April 22-23, 10AM-6PM both days
Where: 2100 North Main Street (at Avenue 20), Los Angeles 90031 (Main St exit @ the 5 freeway)

Oh, also – readers who track down my studio and say hi get candy. Who can beat free candy?

  1. A quick addition to great words on the Artwalk. Always a great time! — The LA Podcasters ( will be podcasting and offering 30 min Podcast Q&A sessions on both days of the Brewery artwalk. We are in a small room off the nice Art Deco lobby that faces Main Street.
