If you are reading this in a browser already, then you are looking at it! Months and months of work have gone into this new design and the official announcement is over here on bodemediainc.com. 1. Whoa!

I was reading b.la one moment, and went to do some other stuff, then I came back and refreshed the page. . .

BAM! A Totally new (and Great) look!

I looked at the links for Metroblogging, and found your announcement there. (Before your announcement).

It pays to do some research.

  2. Sean:

Please let me offer three things that many others will soon be saying:

    1) Congrats!
    2) I’m looking forward to exploring!
    3) I want one!!!!

With wishes for a bug-free week,

    Brian Humphrey
    Firefighter/Specialist
    Public Service Officer
    Los Angeles Fire Department

  3. Sorry to rain on your parade, but I don’t like it. I prefer the old design because it had a more personal feel to it, as opposed to this sterile look.

  4. Thanks everyone!

Lee – can you give any more details on that or post a screenshot? We can’t replicate the problem you are talking about and the e-mail address you posted here doesn’t work so I can’t e-mail you directly. Thanks!

  5. I like the new look!

On a slightly-related note, on 2/18, the RSS feed changed to include an email address in front of the author’s name, like so:

    [email protected] (Bobby Teenager)

Before it was just listed as

    Bobby Teenager

This is kind of a pain, because you have to have this big huge column width to see who wrote the article at a glance, making it much for difficult for me to ignore the ones by you know who.

  6. Looks great, especially the main column, much more readable. My only feedback would be that the side bar looks a bit blocky with the greyspace between the ads and the site info.
