It’s that time of year again. That’s right – it’s time for me, your friendly neighborhood Brewery Arts Colony resident, to tell you that it’s time for the semiannual Brewery Artwalk.
For those of you unfamiliar with my art-filled stomping grounds, The Brewery is the world’s largest artist live/work colony, with hundreds of artists living and working on the sprawling grounds of a former Pabst Blue Ribbon Brewery. While it is a shame for some that the buildings no longer flow with the sweet, sweet nectar of Pabst, the studios of over 100 artists will be open to the public this weekend, November 12th and 13th. (Plus, there’s Pabst on tap at the restaurant on the premises, along with a number of tasty local brews.)
Some of LA’s most innovative artists will be opening their doors. It’s always a good time, and there’s plenty of food and drink and places to sit and rest for the weary. It’s kid-friendly, too, so don’t shy away if you’ve got wee people in tow.
The studios will be open from 10 am to 5pm. Directions are here. Admission and parking are free, so really, you have no excuse not to show up.
