Cemetery screenings are back!

050605cemetery.jpgLast summer, I went to see Double Indemnity at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, and my friends and I brought a picnic and some wine and had a really nice night. I’ve been wondering when the Cinespia screening series would start up again. I just got an email that the first screening of 2005 is next Saturday:

Treasure of the Sierra Madre
Tribute to Director/Writer John Huston

Saturday, May 14th at 8:00 pm
Hollywood Forever Cemetery
6000 Santa Monica Blvd (at Gower)
No Reservation Necessary $10
Tickets available at gate
Gates open at 7:00pm

  1. I was wondering when they were going to kick things back on. We took in “Chinatown” there last year with the stars above and the corpses below and it was much fun. Thanks for the update!

  2. Double Indemnity is a great movie, though I don’t think I could watch it, or any movie for that matter, in a cemetery. I’d get the heebie jeebies.
