The Dodgers are pissing me off

I made a trip to Chavez Ravine this evening. I went for the cute blanket, and that was all the pleasure I got out of the night.

I love the Dodgers, and am in no way a fairweather fan. I can’t help but be a fan since I grew up in the 1980s (yeah, I’m young) at the height of Fernandomania. Lately, I’m more interested in the team and have been attending more games.

When the Dodgers are doing well and winning 8 games in a row, I’m feeling great. When they have lost 5 of their last 6 games, were swept in a series, and are in second place in the National Leage West I feel like kicking someone.

I bet Shawn Green is laughing all the way back to Arizona (or where ever the Diamondbacks’ next series takes place).

  1. Cindy, I feel your pain. Though I’m a transplant and therefore a fan of another team first and a Dodger fan second, the Dodgers are my fave NL team, even though Jim Tracy sucks goat balls.

Then again, it’s still April. Those boys will manage to pull out of this slump, wash, rinse, and repeat, breaking our hearts several times over before the season is out. I think we’re in for a bumpy ride.

  2. Cindy, have patience. ‘Tis a loooong season.

And Kat, my dear, you are sadly mistaken as it is your Yankess that do suck on those goat balls.

And over in Queens, “Vote for Pedro!” has a whole new meaning now.

  3. “Vote for Pedro!” has a different meaning to me too. I was trying to get my friend Pedro to run for something at school with me, but he didn’t want to. We could have had piÃ’atas of our opponents and tshirts. It would have been grand.

Jay, I agree with you. I’ll have patience. I’d rather have our start than the Yankees’ start.
