Hard ‘N Phirm

Chris Hardwick’s band, “Hard ‘n Phirm” is playing at The Improv in Hollywood this Saturday night at 10:30. I’ve not yet seen them, so I can’t personally vouch for the awesomeness of these guys, but Hardwick is hilarious and has a sick and twisted sense of humor. My hunch is that this show is probably going to kick a lot of ass. How can you not love a band that does a Tron Rock Opera or a bluegrass medley of Radiohead songs called “Rodeohead?” This is a sure thing.

  1. Well…if they’re playing at the Improv and all their songs seem to be gimmick songs, the show would probably be best attended if you’re a fan of comedy first, and a fan of music secondly. (is that even a word?)

  2. I saw them about 10 years ago, and they were very funny then. No idea what they’re like now.

  3. Hard N Firm rocked UCLA Spring Sing sometime in ’95 or ’96. They closed by leading the crowd in a Muppets Theme singalong. Hardwick was on MTV’s Singled Out with Jenny McCarthy the next fall. Highly recommended.
