Love Machine

If you crazy kids are looking for something to do tonight, boy howdy do I have a couple of good places for you to go. That’s right, I said BOY HOWDY. Watch out! It’s about to get crazy up in here.

For your first stop of the evening, head to the ACME Comedy Theatre to catch one of the last three performances of ACME Love Machine. I know what you’re thinking to yourself. You’re thinking, “Self, didn’t Kathleen post about this before?” Yep, you’re right, I did. But tonight’s performance is special. Why, you ask? Because VH-1 is going to be there filming the performance for inclusion in a show featuring author and all-around good guy Wil. So, when you’re watching the next round of VH-1’s “I love the last 5 minutes” marathons, and you see the episode air, you can be all like, “Ohmigod, I was totally there! See, that’s the back of my ear in the lower right corner of the screen!” You can’t beat that with a freakin’ stick. Besides, the show is fantastic and those wacky kids over at ACME will have you laughing so hard you might throw up in your mouth a little bit. Don’t believe me? Here’s a review.

After you’re done enjoying the comedy stylings of the ACME Love Machine cast, stop by the Metroblogging meetup at Barbara’s at the Brewery. We have one of these meetups monthly, and so far we’ve had a good mix of readers and authors show up. Of course, we’d love to meet more of you, even the snarky ones. *cough*Jacky Treehorn*cough*. We promise not to get drunk and belligerent. Well, okay, not too belligerent.

Details: ACME Comedy Theatre, 135 N. La Brea. Show starts at 8PM. Street parking is available; valet is $3.50 and adjacent to the theatre. 323-525-0202.

And… Metroblogging meetup, 620 Moulton Ave. #110. We’ll be there from 8 till closing, so don’t worry about coming late after the comedy show. Directions are here. 323-221-9204.
