“God willing and the creek don’t rise…”

I’ve got a question. There are 100 people still stranded in an Angeles Forest campground who have been there since the recent rainstorms washed out two bridges and a road. Two weeks ago.

Now, I seem to remember seeing a helicopter pulling a few of them out when this whole thing began, but does anybody know why they don’t just bring them all out that way?

  1. My understanding is that the people actually live there, not just camping. They helicoptered in food, and took out the people who wanted to leave, (i.e. those who had to work) but the die hards wanted to stay until they put in a temporary bridge replacement.
