HAW-HAW!

This is just too funny!

“ALISO VIEJO, Calif. – City officials were so concerned about the potentially dangerous properties of dihydrogen monoxide that they considered banning foam cups after they learned the chemical was used in their production.

Then they learned, to their chagrin, that dihydrogen monoxide ó H2O for short ó is the scientific term for water.

“It’s embarrassing,” said City Manager David J. Norman. “We had a paralegal who did bad research.”

A paralegal who did bad research my ass. I don’t care who was the first mental giant to bring this up, this proposal went through a lot of hands and got signed off on by a lot of people before it was pointed out. But way to pass the buck there Norman. Didn’t anyone down there ever take a high school science class?

  1. Shit, I got that “dihydrogen monoxide” spilling all over the place in my home! What the hell?

  2. as a joke (or an art project), someone or some people put signs in my school that said something like “warning, this water fountain is contaminated with dihydrogen monoxide” on the fountains.
