Check it: Win Kruder & Dorfmeister Tickets

It’s easy to categorize music. And some (ummm, okay, less enlightened types…) might say Kruder and Dormeister are ‘dance music’ stars. Ha!… We know they are so much more!
Together, they blend, twist, experiment and enchant as no other producers do. They are one of the few who take notes into whole new forms. They harness tribal beats and split them up, coax you into a sweet mood late in the night and then blast a jolt of lightning into the aural mix. It’s sweet and damned exciting.

They are not to be missed.

I’m stoked they are gracing our beloved city this Friday night at Club Nokia. I’ll definitely be there groovin’ along with many others in the know.

If you want to hang for free and get your musical world rocked, tell me what Kruder and Dorfmeister means to you. And why you should be one of the chosen ones. We’re giving away four pairs of tickets. Get your thoughts into the comments below and we’ll pick four of the most worthy (or most entertaining) ones to attend the show. And if you miss the giveaway, you can always score tickets here.

  1. The great piece of ’90s cinema, Hackers, will always remind me of the first time I heard Kruder and Dorfmeister.

  2. Incredibly entry. I just stumbled upon your blog as well as wanted to tell that I have really enjoyed reading your blog posts. Any way I’ll be subscribing to your feed together with I hope you post yet again shortly.

  3. I’m so excited that Kruder and Dorfmeister are coming into town! My path to loving their music started when I was watching “Garden State” for the first time and heard Zero 7’s “In the Waiting Line”–It blew me away and I had to learn more about this type of music. I then discovered Tosca from K&D and the album Suzuki is always in heavy rotation in my music collection no matter what mood I’m in. It would be great to see these guys live!!!! Thanks

  4. I enjoy getting stoned and listening to K&D.

I fell in love after hearing their work on the Depeche Mode Useless remix and their remix of Bone Thugs 1st of Tha Month.

Would love to see them live for the first time!

    Thanks.

  5. In the beginning, there was Jack, and Jack had a groove.
And from this groove came the groove of all grooves.
And while one day viciously throwing down on his box, Jack boldy declared,
    “Let there be HOUSE!”
    and house music was born.

Kruder and Dorfmeister may not make what is classically referred to as house music, but I feel it in their soul, in their love that touches every song they create. Their music guides people somewhere that can best be described a consciousness-expanding journey. Let them take us all there…to the place we want to be…enveloped by the groove of Love.

  6. Kruder and Dorfmeister doesn’t mean much to me- but my sweet, nerdy husband is a big fan. And since I have dragged him to countless concerts that he didn’t want to go I would love to surprise him with tickets. This weekend will be the 6th anniversary of his first email me to me (we met online) and what better way to celebrate with tickets to a concert that I won (online).

  7. The K&D Sessions changed my life. I was introduced to them about 7 years ago by an old boyfriend. I listened to that album over and over. That was the beginning of my ongoing love affair with drum and bass. Winning tickets would be sweet!

  8. Kruder & Dorfmeister’s “DJ-Kicks” album was introduced to me by an English classmate when I was going to film school up in Vancouver. It was something I kept coming back to as I was at school late at night working on my student film, and remains one of my favorite albums. Whenever I listen to it, it brings back great memories and excitement from that time in my life. I’ve never seen them in person, but would love to see them, as I have just moved to the city and am looking for new things to do (incidentally, that’s how I came across your blog).

    Great site; thanks for reading.
