Donut Summit: Where are you bringing your donuts from?

As the Donut Summit approaches (June 13th!  Super soon!), we are turning to you, dear readers, for help!  We want to make sure that a fairly comprehensive range of LA’s donut shops are represented at the summit, so, if you’re coming, please comment below and let us know where you’re planning to bring your donuts from!

Below the jump is our working list of local donutteries:  those with an asterisk beside them have been claimed by Metrobloggers, but all of the rest are fair game!  And we are well aware that this list is currently far from complete, so if your favorite donut haunt isn’t on the list, that’s a-ok:  just comment below and let us know which local donut purveyor you want to add to the list!

And if you need remindin’, you can find out more about the Donut Summit and how it will work here.  You can also [email protected] on Twitter, join our facebook page, or visit the Donut Summit blog for a one-stop source of donut info!

  1. I’ll be picking up a dozen from The Donut Hole (La Puente) fershure.

Whoever is bringing Donut Man could you please Please PLEASE bring some of their fresh strawberry donuts??? (Oh wait, or is it time for the fresh peach ones???) Whatever the case, please?

  2. Oh, just realized I’ll be starting that day in LBC, so if no one is bringing some from Angel Food Donuts (Long Beach), I’ll bring those too.

Also, just noticed that Babycakes vegan donuts aren’t on that list, they would be a good addition.

  3. Have you guys determined what you’re going to do with all your extras? Given that admission is a dozen per person, but each person is likely to eat, what, three or four each, I’d guess you’re going to end up with 75% leftovers. Maybe something you can donate to a shelter or soup kitchen?

  4. Walt – I’m on Donut Man duty, and I’m definitely picking up the strawberry donuts … I’ll find out if the peaches are in donut season, if yes, I’ll do my damndest to get those too.

  5. I’m on early-morning-setup duty, but I’ma do my best to swing by Foster’s Donuts in Glendale for some of their awesome dime-apiece donut holes. They’re like gently sugar-frosted farts issued directly from the Most Holy Bum of the Virgin Mary herself.

  6. Donut Master in Gardena. I have no idea if they’re any good, but the name alone has me curious.

  7. If we can get multiple people to hit up Donut Man I’d be one happy girl.

Your fave place doesn’t have to be on this list. You don’t even have to bring them from your favorite place! Just BRING DONUTS. And write the name of the donut shop & its city (street address, if you can get one) on the top of the box or bag.

  8. Spencer, we are indeed looking into donating. If we can’t get anyone to take ’em, guess who gets to go home with doggie bags for your friends and hapless office mates?! Yes, YOU!

  9. I’ll be coming up from Orange County, so I can stop by anywhere in South LA that hasn’t been covered. I take suggestions. Kindle’s? Dale’s of the evil evil hours? Any suggestions?
