Wow, I saw Skinny Puppy on their first tour of America, say 1985. Possibly one of the greatest shows I ever witnessed. When a dude ran on stage and smashed a bottle on Ogres head, splattering blood all over everything we were like…. WTF just happened????? We figured out it was staged a few minutes later.

ANYWAYS, first day God created Throbbing Gristle, on the 6th day he created Skinny Puppy. Throbbing Gristle invented industrial, Skinny Puppy invented Electrogrind-moregore-horrorcore-w/ a beat you can dance to;-)

Not exactly a long multi-hyphenated genre but Hip hop was originally called disco-rap according to Wiki: “Creation of the term hip hop is often credited to Keith Cowboy, a rapper with Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five.[3] Though Lovebug Starski, Keith Cowboy, and DJ Hollywood used the term when the music was still known as disco rap.”
