		<description>Running in high heels? Actually it&#039;s the same dynamic as athletes--most of the work is done by the ball of the foot. If you&#039;ve ever seen a runner&#039;s shoe, there is no heel.
The best runners in the animal world are always (technically) &#039;on their toes&#039;. I used to be a cocktail waitress and worked in 2 1/2 to 3&quot; heels...and many&#039;s the time I ran to catch a bus (I lived in SF at the time). Tight skirts are more of a hindrance than high heels.
And since Gillian Anderson was probably in very good condition athletically, running would come easily.
