Hands down, I loved my AT-ST model. I didn't like the drab colors of the Hoth planet, so I painted mine sky blue and hot pink. It's still in a place of prominence, next to my complete Care Bear (and Cousins) stuffed animal collection in my parent's home.

My favorite thing from that decade is the memory of me first hearing Funkytown on my little portable radio in May of 1980. That opening cowbell riff sounded fresher than anything else coming through my little speaker.

I was a young'un in the 80's, so my 80's memory items are all toys. I think my favorite was my Tron bike toy that you could rev up with that old mechanical system where you would push it forward against the ground over and over to get it going and then let it go. And I don't give a crap what anyone says I'm psyched for the new Tron movie.
