Since were on the subject of bands with amazing female drummers, I’ll say Grand Ole Party. Technically they were from San Diego, but they played here just as much. I caught them opening for Rilo Kiley a few years ago and I’ve been a rabid fan ever since. Humanimals is such a great album, I was sure they were going to break out this year. Unfortunately, they broke up recently while recording their follow up.

The Meeting Places

The Meeting Places is by far one of my favorite shoe-gaze, atmospheric bands of the last few years that reside in Long Beach, CA. I wish they would actually get an opening slot with Autolux. It would be perfect for them. Highly suggest checking them out if you’re a fan of ‘lux, Joy Division, Dandy Warhols and other bands of that genre 

Would absolutely love to get hooked up for Autolux. One of my favorites of all time.
