It didn't help that two folks who got into a rearview mirrow damaging bump on the freeway decided to park in both their lanes and exchange insurance through their windows, rather than pull to the side - thanks, tards. Once in the door, had a great time, ate fried things that shouldn't be, hung out with goats, checked out award-winning quilts, saw a water dropping helo refuel at the airfield next door (an unexpected and exciting thing). Noticed one thing about the fair. Not a single recycling bin in sight, despite the massive quantity of disposable plates and bottles in use. The milk. I'm not a milk drinker, but my husband and kids are and love the fresh milk. We had a conundrum when we arrived. The line for the $10 parking was ridiculous and it was 12:30. We wound up parking in valet ($25) because we realize that it would be cheaper ($27) than saving the $15 and missing the 1pm cutoff time (2x$17 + $10). That really paid off at the end of the day when we were so tired and didn't have to trod all over Pomona to get to our car. Oh, yes. The milk.
