Got there early on Monday, but it was still a fight to get in. It didn't help that two folks who got into a rearview mirrow damaging bump on the freeway decided to park in both their lanes and exchange insurance through their windows, rather than pull to the side - thanks, tards. Once in the door, had a great time, ate fried things that shouldn't be, hung out with goats, checked out award-winning quilts, saw a water dropping helo refuel at the airfield next door (an unexpected and exciting thing).

Noticed one thing about the fair. Not a single recycling bin in sight, despite the massive quantity of disposable plates and bottles in use.

Oh, yes. The milk. I'm not a milk drinker, but my husband and kids are and love the fresh milk.

We had a conundrum when we arrived. The line for the $10 parking was ridiculous and it was 12:30. We wound up parking in valet ($25) because we realize that it would be cheaper ($27) than saving the $15 and missing the 1pm cutoff time (2x$17 + $10). That really paid off at the end of the day when we were so tired and didn't have to trod all over Pomona to get to our car.

Best dollar I ever spent. My family had a blast. Highlights: Colombian Pirates, same-day fresh chocolate milk, costly but delicious micro-brew, mullet sightings, and a taste of the 909 Lifestyle.
