@Lucinda: You shot well for a newbie. You’ll get there fairly quickly on the comfort level with the loud noise. Dealing with those suppressed homicidal urges might take a little longer. If the inside voices mention my name specifically, perhaps you could give me a bit of warning.

With a little practice, I’ll bet both you and Tara (and any other newbies) will become comfortable, qualified shooters.

@tara—Hey, we’re in the same boat. I was palpably uncomfortable with the loud noises & the “you can kill someone RIGHT NOW if you just turn around & pull this trigger” thing. But I feel I should do it again, until I can expand my comfort zone & feel like I know what I’m doing. So you & I can be gun newbies together. :)

Bromike666: I think other than skeet shooting, 25 yards is the longest range I’ve ever shot. Shooting at the big kids table sounds like a ton of fun.

I’ve got you all on the list for the next one. Who else is in? Hopefully we’ll get that organized very soon and I’ll let y’all know.

SB, a un-named friend and I will be be taking his new Mini 14 and my M-1 Carbine to the Angeles range in Sunland as soon as “the man” lets him pick up the goods.

Mini 14 + Leupold scope + 200 yard range = Shooting at the big kids table;-)
