“Integrity” is a word a cool-aid drinker like you wouldn’t know. Cheney kept this country safe for years from his “bunker”. A location, mind you, that a boob from the present “administration” revealed. Speaking of revelations: Only after Obambi suggested a theoretical existence by trying to shame his own country in the release of documents and pictures did Cheney suggest that the other half of those same released documents (the parts that show what was gained by certain actions) be released also. He didn’t start this fire. Keep in mind it’s time for Obambi to own up to the damage he’s causing, and not pass it off on previous admins like a small child would.

Ah, Cheney, ever the role model of courage, standing up for gay marriage after the election, calling for the release of sensitive intelligence documents only when he believes they’ll make him look good (or just asking for their release will make him look good).

He’s finally also said that Sadaam had nothing to do with 9/11, a line he stuck by to gain support for the Iraq invasion.

Such integrity.

Sounds like an attempt to maintain positive relations with his daughter while sidestepping the issue and not really saying he supports gay marriage. Subject matter aside, when I pulled up the front page of MetBlogs and found a big picture of the devil staring back, it scared the shit out of me.

Wow.. an issue Darth Cheney is partially on the good side with. He still doesn’t take a side by saying though by saying it’s a state issue.

But again, this news is nothing new. He had this to say in 2004:

Asked his position on the subject at a town hall meeting here, Cheney replied: “Lynne and I have a gay daughter, so it’s an issue that our family is very familiar with. . . . With respect to the question of relationships, my general view is that freedom means freedom for everyone. People . . . ought to be free to enter into any kind of relationship they want to.”

Cheney went on to reiterate the position he first outlined in the 2000 campaign — that same-sex marriage should be left to the states to decide. He noted, however, that Bush has endorsed a constitutional amendment preventing the states from recognizing such marriages.
