Spring ArtWalk at The Brewery this weekend

This weekend, is the unofficial kickoff into to Spring and Summer, what with Coachella, LACMAs Friday Night Jazz Series last night and the Brewery’s Artwalk.
Today many Angelenos will braved the crowds and tricky parking situation to visit the live/work spaces at The Brewery.

Scuplture, paintings, graphic design, fashion and new media including TV and audio are showcased throughout. I suggest getting there earlier in the day as parking isn’t such a headache and it’s been my experience over the last 7 years that they usually run out of food around 2pm. Besides…you’ll also have the elbow room to actually view the pieces.

I’m glad you posted this! I was going to, but got caught up doing my song post that is due this afternoon. I really enjoy this event and try to go every Spring and Fall. Hopefully, I’ll make it over tomorrow afternoon, but I think I’ve over-scheduled my weekend.

I wish I could make it. I’ve only missed one year of the ArtWalk and that was due to bedrest. Now, I’m unable to walk due to a bad back, so sad I won’t be able to enjoy it.

I went on Saturday and had a great time. Lots of pretty people and wonderful art. I was there for about 3-4 hours and probably saw only half of the open galleries. And with all the stairs, and such a sprawling compound, it was also a pretty good workout.
