Found on site at, appropriately enough, a managed care facility – you eat this stuff that masquerades as healthy, you remain unhealthy, you pay for tests and office visits and such to find out why you’re unhealthy, and you spend lots of time waiting (and thus, snacking). Repeat. Vicious cycle.

We have a vending machine in the ER lobby. My favorite is when people sign their kids in with “throwing up” or “stomach ache” and when they walk up to us when we call their name, they’re covered in red from the Flaming Hot Cheeto’s. And yet the parents can’t understand why we look a them like they’re stupid.
