Our tree was indeed damaged during our move (accidents do happen). We're fully aware of the situation and have been in contact with Hollywood/Los Angeles Beautification team on replacing our tree. We would love to be able to buy and plant a new tree to replace the damaged one but it's simply not that easy since city property is involved. We are on a waiting list for a new tree from the Hollywood/Los Angeles Beautification Team and hope to get a replacement tree very soon.

Maybe you can ask them why they haven't replaced the tree in front of the store that they removed ("by accident" they say) when they moved in. Some neighborhood folks have even brought it to their attention and they keep saying they will, but it has been months and... nada. For a supposedly "eco-sustainable" store, their inaction is not very green.
