Though Schwarzenegger has had a tough time selling the idea to Sacramento, especially with our ongoing budget problems. It was shot completely in California (except the Vegas casino scenes) for $140 million making a total domestic gross of $318 million. Favreau proved that you don't have to drag productions up to Canada in order to make a decent profit. I’m all for that.
