Because my sweetie has a job working all hours of the day and night helping people with disabilities live independently and manage their own lives. She has lots of clients and she supervises lots of staff and she’s worked extra hard this week. If that’s not enough, on the weekends we both volunteer as ski instructors for people with disabilities.
Also we are both big ole hippies and Michael Franti fills us with delight.

Upside: I believe his work and others with his passion are vital to the world we live in, that his courage and wisdom and soul inspire much needed evolution.

Downside: I’m an unemployed student, just broke up, and I need to feel good. I swear I’ll spread the inspiration.

i have no good story
i just discovered michael franti and spearhead about 3 days ago when i heard one of their songs on kcrw’s morning becomes eclectic and went home to download some of their stuff off itunes.

and i’d love to see them live.

not a very exciting story, sorry.
