Pedro Pete is an LA area blogger whose blogs and youtube I follow. Pete does a a sports blog and a video blog. Here is what he has to say about the Huell Howser video.
I’m actually a huge fan of his work. I love man-on-the-street interviewers, and he features so many fascinating personalities and local treasures here in California. His enthusiasm and personality while improvising make the show hilarious at times, so I decided to do a parody about a fictional park. The footage was actually shot in Baldwin Hills at Village Green, a National Historical Landmark.
Pretty funny. I love Huell.
Wonnaful. The only thing that could have made it better would have been a textbook Huell phrase: “That’s a-MAZ-ing!”
I LOVE HUELL.
I mean, I’ve loved him since I was a nerdy kid geeking out on PBS, but when I was at a downtown speakeasy late one night about two years ago, surrounded by artists doing life-drawing from real semi-nude models (semi-clad this week in an Aztec theme) as a DJ spun from another part of the loft, I bellied up to the bar, ordered a drink from my friend, and turned to my left to discover Huell himself waiting patiently for a beer.
I swooned.
I have to agree, whats not to love about Huell.
A magical impression, I got a trails just watching…love Mr. Nuno!
Love Huell. And this parody, too.
Now, when do I get to randomly run into Huell Howser? On mushrooms.
