What with all the hullabaloo over Illinois Gov. Rod Blagevich allegedly wanting to sell the US Senate seat President-Elect Barack Obama is vacating, I want to congratulate the coy and clever writer of this L.A. Times headline in today’s paper about the designs recently elected L.A. County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas has on the State Senate seat he left behind:

But in this case the county’s newest supe hasn’t gone greed, he’s simply endorsing State Assemblyman Curren Price (D-Inglewood) for the job. About the only thing better would be:
