<description>With all due respect to my friends who work there, FUCK THE TIMES.

My largest complaint with the paper has always been their poor attention to local city news. And my only major complaint with their blogs is that out of a dozens for sports and entertainment, they only have one dedicated to the city itself: LA NOW, which has now had its authors axed.

By cutting LA NOW, the Times has given the middle finger again to the city it calls home. Whoever made this decision can justify it all they want, but by pissing on its local coverage yet again its proven that web hits and immediate revenue are more important than integrity or a long term vision.

For the first time in my life, I long for Riordan bringing back the Examiner.
