Although I was not fast enough to record it, I was surprised that a live announcement—round noon, not an hour after the temblor we enjoyed this morning—clearly stated that the delays were “due to construction.” I heard the announcement while at the Vermont-Wilshire Station, and I was not the only person visually annoyed at the BS.
Actually, they said “destruction” — those station speakers are woefully unintelligible.
